Alexis’ worked for the Texas Legislature for ten years, having served as a staff member, communication assistant, and District Director for then State Senator Leticia Van de Putte. She also oversaw and managed all compliance reporting for Van de Putte’s state and local campaigns.
Before her transition to state government, she worked in the federal government for the Department of Justice in the San Antonio field office of the Executive Office for Immigration Review, before moving to Washington, D.C., to work on the executive staff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Alexis is a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, a Master’s degree in Administration/Communications, and doctoral studies in Organizational Leadership.
